New printed glass designs and prototype seat cushions displayed in izzydesign's showroom in Chicago
Now integrating color and patterns in your workspace goes far beyond the fabric you select for your chair. Studio Z is teaming up with izzydesign to show how architects and designers can layer colors, patterns, materials and lighting to infuse dynamic dimensions of design for the home and office.
New Breeze and Jewel GlassPix patterns
Breeze and Jewel are Studio Z’s two new colorful GlassPix™ architectural glass patterns printed by Agio Imaging. At NeoCon 2007, Breeze and Jewel are shown on izzydesign’s Edison alternative office furniture privacy screens, as well as glass doors and a tabletop of izzy’s new Audrey furniture collection. In outlined and silhouette profiles, Breeze offers a gentle botanic design of cascading leaves and branches. The new Jewel geometric pattern of rust, gold, gray and transparent forms offers a contemporary view suggested by vintage Arts and Crafts style.

Seat cushions accessorize Audrey seating
Just think of izzydesign’s Audrey concept seating as the black dress, and Studio Z’s Jacqform™ prototype seat cushions as the accenting jewelry. “With Jacqform, you can choose the colors and patterns – just like accessories – that create a classic, expressive or customized environment,” says Anna Zaharakos, founder and lead designer of Studio Z. “At NeoCon, we’re showing people how you can bring colors and designs from one medium to another to build a unique design theme. On Audrey and Edison, you see Breeze and Jewel patterns in architectural glass. On the Audrey seating, we’re taking the patterns a step further by putting them in woven form as the jacquard motifs for the textile seat cushions.” Reversible to provide instant interior design updates, the seat cushions take full advantage of Studio Z’s patented Jacqform™ technology, with built-in woven seams, part-specific details and pocket functions.
